Unfortunately I don't have access to any other Audigy 4 cards. In addition, my setup has changed dramatically since I reported this bug.
It's worth noting that my motherboard at the time toasted itself within 6 months of me reporting this bug, and I don't think it's out of the question that the motherboard could be at fault.
