There are plans to have a linux-ports-meta package, but as you can see from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git?p=ubuntu/ubuntu-intrepid-ports- meta.git;a=blob;f=meta- source/debian/control;h=2a0d1274178b068e3979927a0371f7076dac6f64;hb=6261a2fc1945ab943303aae715a153cbf143fec7 the produced binary names are not going to match these legacy names.
As the packages above are no longer built for anything, having them exist just because they might hide a bug in the installers seems a dangerous choice: it vastly increases the chances that we'll need to have a late upload of linux-ports-meta and hope it works, rather than exposing the fact that it's broken now, and looking to fix the various seeds, meta-packages, and image building scripts to use the new names. -- Please remove outdates ports binaries for linux-meta https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/271627 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
