This bug is tagged as "Fix released", however I just had the same problem with Hardy Heron fully updated just last night. I got it working by blacklisting "e1000" driver and installing e1000e driver 0.4.1.7 from http://sourceforge.net/projects/e1000
So I ask for this bug to be reopened.
