I disagree. The fact that tftp wasn't running and inetd isn't listening for tftp means that I couldn't have booted a PXE client. It just happens that I copied the kernel and initrd to the laptop directly rather tan PXE booting it. Looks like when I installed LTSP onto my Ubuntu system via the wiki instructions I didn't get a tftp server/inetd tftp server.
