I do get the same problem with another user on the same machine, and even on my other computer (a desktop computer). Some (possibly) interesting facts I discovered since the initial bug report: - the "." key *in the numeric pad* on the Desktop computer works fine. - the "." key in the "emulated numpad (Fn key + xxx)" of my laptop works fine. - Using the French locale it works fine (but keep in mind that in the French locale, the decimal separator is a comma "," and not a dot, and one doesn't need shift to type one).
