Works for me in Dolphin-kde4. Are you in KDE4 or KDE3? Also, do you have write permissions for the directory you're moving it *from*? Where are you attempting to move to and from? Is it replicable if you create a test folder in your home directory and cut and paste it into a subfolder of your home directory?
