I am experiencing the same problem with Kubuntu 6.10 (Edgy) final release using K3b which sits on top of cdrecord. Laptop is a Lenovo 3000 N100 System Info ----------------------- K3b Version: 0.12.17

There seems to be two /dev entries for one physical device. I also observe the same 'drive returns wrong startsec error'. In the interests of saving space I have included the debugging output from k3b as an attachment. It means little to me but might help someone fix this bug ** Attachment added: "debugging info from k3b" http://librarian.launchpad.net/4968624/k3b_bug -- SATA drive won't burn CD or DVD https://launchpad.net/bugs/62896 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
