I had the exact same problem and uninstalling all traces of Myth TV fixed it completely thank goodness. I had installed Myth TV about a week ago so I'm glad I caught this before it really put some wear and tear on my HDD. I just hope I didn't mess up something else in frantic attempts to stop the insanity.
