Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.27-4-generic
When booting any of the 2.6.27.x kernels, the whole system runs
considerably slower (~30-40% of normal speed) than with 2.6.26.5 in
intrepid with latest updates. This affects booting, X and terminal.
$top reports no process using a lot cpu time but average load is 1.59
(on a frshly booted system)
System is a HP Compaq 6715s with AMD Turion X2 TL-58 1.9 GHz, 2 GB RAM,
ATI X1250
