Hello I have a problem - when Evolution freezes, necessitating a "kill" command there is no resulting crash file in /var/crash relating to this, nor does apport pick up the crash (yes I confirm that it is turned on, as I have used it to submit crash reports recently).
I tried to get some info by starting the app from a terminal. I get initially: "(evolution:6758): Gtk-WARNING **: GtkSpinButton: setting an adjustment with non-zero page size is deprecated" which is duplicated several times and then comes: "(evolution:6758): gtkhtml-editor-WARNING **: en-ZA: No such language" so I assume there is a locale issue, which would explain the problem only occurring when I hit the space bar after the first word - I would assume it is trying to spell-check the word, using the en-ZA locale (South Africa), but doesn't recognise it and freezes in confusion. I am running Ubuntu 8.10 alpha 6 with all updates as of 10 pm 25 sept on a pentium 4 2.6 cpu with 768 megs RAM. Not sure if the above helps, but I do have to say that as it stands, evolution is not useable as it stands right now. hopefully the above might help a bit ? -- evolution crashes as soon as I start to type a message in email https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/273031 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
