Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and help make Ubuntu better. It seems that you have an incorrect line in your /etc/apt/sources.list. If you are still experiencing this problem, then please open your /etc/apt/sources.list and change these lines:
deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu hardy commercial deb-src http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu hardy commercial ...to... deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu hardy partner deb-src http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu hardy partner In the meantime, I'm going to close this bug report.
