This is an artifact of having the alsa-lib 1.0.16 in hardy-proposed that
was yanked (and is no longer available). I recommend you follow this
command: sudo dpkg -P --force-depends libasound2 && sudo apt-get -f
install
Afterward, you should be able to install libasound2-dev.
