** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: casper

- When I have used Gparted from a LiveCD of Ubuntu 8.04 LTS, the hard
- drives are not listed in the correct, physically connected or BIOS
- listed order.
+ When I have used Gparted from a LiveCD of Ubuntu 8.04 LTS 32 & 64 bit,
+ the hard drives are not listed in the correct, physically connected or
+ BIOS listed order.

- i.e. ... hd1 lists as hd0; hd0 lists as hd1, hd2 as hd3. It has not
- always been consistent and never correct.
+ Physical hd0/sda lists as hd2/sdc;
+ Physical hd1/sdb lists as hd0/sda,
+ Physical hd2/sdc lists as hd1/sdb.

- This has sometimes affected how grub is written.
+ It has not always been consistent and rarely correct. The above list has
+ been typical. It is how the 32 & 64 bit Hardy lists the drives
+ currently. This can be very confusing to lesser experienced users such
+ as my self.

- It seems to only occur from the LiveCD and not from within the installed
- OS.
+ This has affected how grub is written.
+
+ It occurs from the LiveCD and in the installed programs.
+
+ Biostar TF560 A2+, AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+; 2gb RAM
+ 250gb Hitatchi PATA (hd0), 40gb Western Digital Pata/adapter to SATA (hd1) &
160gb Hitatchi SATA (hd2)
