I'm seeing this in Intrepid, with: kernel 2.6.27-4-generic amd64, sysvinit-utils 2.86.ds1-59ubuntu8, hal 0.5.11-3~ubuntu8.
Is this a regression? Incidentally, if you leave the message box up that says 'Cannot unmount the volume...', eventually you get another message saying: "DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply.
