As a matter of fact adding the lines :

Option "Composite" "disable"

was not enough to get my hardware rendering on my Radeon X300 video card
to work neatly as on Dapper ; I still experienced some slight freezing
effects with for example screensaver applications.
The last update of "fglrx" installed seems to definetely fix the problem.
