Similar here - I got to the Manual Partition screen of the installer, and then clicked 'Quit', and ubiquity crashed. I'm using a 64-bit Alpha 6 Intrepid LiveCD on a Dell M1330.
When I tried to reproduce (without restarting), there was no crash.
