The output I got from /proc/asound/cards is:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cat /proc/asound/cards
0 [Intel ]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel
HDA Intel at 0xcfe3c000 irq 16
When I ran pavucontrol, I got a volume control for one output device:
ALSA PCM on front:- (ALC888 Analog) via DMA with no input devices
listed.
I made sure the tab for all output devices was selected.
