Hi, Reading the comments on this and the Debian bug I'm reluctant to upload this fix. Suggests does feel right, but I realise that the message shown to the user is not very helpful.
I'm going to unsubscribe the sponsors from this bug and wait for Debian. If you disagree please re-subscribe the sponsors and someone else will take a look.
