Public bug reported: Binary package hint: cups
With previous versions of Ubuntu, I used the following directions which have always worked with setting up my Lexmark x1240 printer: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=49714 On this fresh install of Kubuntu Intrepid, these instructions have stopped working for the first time. (I went through them three times to make sure I didn't mess anything up). When I go to print, nothing happens. When I go into the printer configuration after trying to print, I get the following error message: /usr/lib/cups/filter/rastertoz600 failed To make sure the connection was in order, I printed from my Windows partition, and it worked. Something specific to Intrepid is preventing me from being able to print on my printer. Please let me know which logs are necessary, if any.
