Same happens to me.
I'm using Hardy too.
After having this problem, I ran the following in the console
~$ dmesg | grep nautilus
[ 616.774634] nautilus[6303]: segfault at ab000020 eip b766b2d6 esp bf825070
error 4
so it seems to be some kind of nautilus problem.
