Thank you for reporting this bug. Do the Maximize and Minimize buttons
only disappear after you disable Compiz? If so, it looks like Metacity
is not starting up. How are you disabling Compiz? One thing you can try
is typing 'metacity --replace' in a terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal). That will make Metacity your
window manager, and it should give you back the Maximize and Minimize
icons. One last thing, do you have the Maximize and Minimize buttons in
other windows/applications?
If the buttons only disappear after you disable Compiz, and they are
gone for all windows/applications, then this is not an openoffice.org
bug, and it should be marked as 'Invalid'. If this is not the case,
please post a comment here that answers these questions. Thanks again.
