Arnaud, Thanks for the suggestion. I have never used Firefox in the safe mode but will read how to do it. I'm assuming by your suggestion that safe mode gives me an extension "free" version to run to see how it all works.
Then I assume I should respond directly back to you, which is what I will do. Give me about a day and I'll get a report to you. Many thanks for the response. Status in “firefox-3.0” source package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Binary package hint: firefox-3.0 Was using FF when it crashed and I was using Blogtalk radio's interface when everything shut down, and then the FF would pause trying to open, then it just stopped and would not open... I've been having to click twice on FF to get it open even before I just recently (1day ago) added the BlogTalkRadio toolbar addon. Seems like Blogtalk toolbar might have had something to do with it crashing. It has been removed. However, since removing it FF was still having problems. It was stalling, then it would just stop. Then repeat. However, before today I could repeat by clicking the icon a second time and it would usually start up. I am now hardwired to the net in order to get things to work. Seems like it also had something to do with being wireless. Which has been kind of a touchy issue too. But stabilized with the use of a netgear card I had. Yet lately the wireless would work without it since upgrading to hardy heron... at least most of the time. But without the card all I see in the panel is an icon showing two computer screens which I thought should show the wireless networks available but never does until I insert the card. Sorry about all the confusing descriptions. But I figure hey I'm a 60 year old none geek, I should get a little slack. Here is info from FF about.
