Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Could you please add your '/etc/X11/xorg.conf' file and
your '/var/log/Xorg.0.log' file as attachments to your bug report?
Additionally after backing up your xorg.conf file it would be
interesting to know what happens when you boot without one. Thanks in
advance.

** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Incomplete

** Description changed:

-
- I just updated my install of intrepid-amd64 on my laptop and now my touchpad
and keyboard do not work. I have tried inserting a USB keyboard and mouse to
circumvent this issue (both cold and hotplugged) to no avail. CTRL-ALT-DEL
still works but thats about it. I have tried using last good boot and recovery
mode xfix, also to no avail. I have tried dropping to recovery root and
manually calling apt-get to update to a hopefully pathced package version but I
cannot bring up my ethernet connection, from running ifup eth0 i get the error
"Ignoring unknown interface eth0=eth0" even though when I run ifconfig eth0,
its detected.
