It is interesting. I'm running the latest version of the vanilla drivers from Realtek (rtl8187se_linux_26[1].1022.0904.2008_Release.tar.gz) on Hardy. They compiled easily with only a few warnings, no errors.
The performance so far has been flawless. Everything works - iwconfig, iwlist, nm-applet, the works. I also haven't had any unexpected dropouts like in the previous version. My question is - Why are all of the hacks and patches needed to get the driver even working under Intrepid? And then when it is working, why are there still bugs and crashes? -- no support for realtek rtl8187se https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/246141 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
