Public bug reported:

In 8.04, everything worked fine.
I started to experience this after upgrading to 8.10 (2.6.27-3), but there are
people who started to encounter this bug only after upgrading to 2.6.27-4.
Also, sound can stop in cmus while something very-disk-active runs (like
"apt-get upgrade", "git pull" etc.)

cmus uses alsa for sound output. cmus has not changed between 8.04 and
8.10.
