Actually, I've tried: $ sudo gconftool-2 -s /apps/gnome-session/options/show_splash_screen --type=bool false and it didn't work (after logging out). Starting gnome-splashscreen-manager from terminal does not return errors, so I don't know why now it works :S However, thanks :)
