possibly related to this: I have a samsung ml-1640, but there is only the driver dor ml-1630 which is selected by default. it prints black pages. I went to the samsung site and downloaded their cups drivers, then the printer works well. I don't know if they can be included for copyright issues, but it would be great if so! thanks
