Public bug reported:

Running Ubuntu 8.04 with Soundblaster24 sound card (original equipment).
Immediately after logon, get 'drum roll' announcing Ubuntu. Afterwards cannot
get any sound over speakers. Tried going to sites with video (news) and
running music cd. Saw a fix for Soundblaster16 problem that may work, but
(been a long time since I wrote anything) don't recall how to write additions
to bios files.
Have no ability to print! Printer, Compaq 1500 (and Soundblaster) show in
directories. Just not accessing when command is given.
Both were functioning prior to loading Ubuntu over Windows ME.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
