Public bug reported:

Hello,

First please excuse my english....

This is the first time i install Ubuntu (8.04TLS).I have download last
Ubuntu updates proposed.

I have a Nvidia Foxconn 7950 gt 256ddr3 graphic card and no problems
with Windows XP.Ubuntu asked me for install owner drivers and download
them. I reboot my machine and at the Ubuntu screen he said me that there
was a probleme with the resolution of the screen.

Finally i can't use Ubuntu whith my graphic card , i get help on this
forum http://www.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-8660178-pb-boot-
ubuntu-apres-install-driver-7950gt but no good results. I don't no if i
can solve the problem with some commands or if it a driver or Ubuntu
compatibility problem ...

Please can you say me what sort of problem it is.I imagine you've got a
lot of work,so if i can just know that , i will be able to research the
solution.

Thank you. ;)
