Public bug reported:
I ran into a situation under Intrepid where gnome-screensaver would
freeze on unlocking when running the flurry screen saver. I'm running
current Intrepid. The system appeared to be locked up, but I was allowed
to login. Upon running htop or top I discovered that the flurry process
was consuming 100% of the system cpu. Once I saw the process taking up
excessive cpu resources I issue a kill -1 5134. This effectively
stopped the process. The results were the creation of a new flurry
process which then became responsive. I was then able to log-in
properly.
