@Sebastien, hmm, okay. From an "end-user point of view", all I know is that Rhythmbox freezes. Good call in deducing *where* the problem is, as I mentioned this on the Rhythmbox mailing lists or discussion room (don't remember anymore) and their general reaction was "it ain't our fault," but didn't help pinpoint where it might be.
