Using Kubunty 7.10 Gutsy, kdesktop_lock hangs on the password screen.
kdesktop_lock uses 100% CPU according to top, the dialog box doesn not refresh
and it is not possible to enter the password.
I can unlock the screen by killing the kdesktop_lock process
I had the same problem with Feisty.
I run no screensavers and connect via Xming.
