Hi Aldo, Just for comparison can you attach your dmesg output from when you boot the 2.6.26 kernel. Also, I'm curious if you try booting a LiveCD that has a 2.6.27 kernel if you experience the same issues - http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/intrepid/beta . Thanks.
