Yep, it's still there on Edgy. I don't know what's so hard about fixing this bug, I mean this is low hanging fruit after all and should take about ten minutes to fix. FWIW, I'm attaching the dia.desktop file I made. Just drop it in /usr/share/applications until this bug gets fixed.
