In the past, driver packages would declare which ABI they provide, and later versions of xserver-xorg-video-core could conflict with these. Indeed, nvidia-glx-71 *currently* declares such a field:
Package: nvidia-glx-71 Provides: nvidia-glx, xserver-xorg-video-2.9 Should xserver-xorg-video-core conflict with xserver-xorg-video-2.9? -- [Intrepid] nvidia_drv.so: undefined symbol: AllocateScreenPrivateIndex https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/251107 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
