@Bryce: I think the problem indeed occured last after an upgrade. So far it hasn't happened again and I haven't been able to reproduce it on purpose. Not quite sure, but i think it also happened once when switching between 8.04.1 and Intrepid (dual-boot), after I tried to install fglrx on 8.04. Again, unable to reproduce.
@Mark: I agree with your observation about colours. Some of them display fine, only a few seem off. Calling it "Low colour resolution" is probably wrong. However, I don't know how to better describe the effect ;) For me the problem always disappeared after a reboot, the screenshot then displaying just fine on the same computer (notebook). So it would seem the colour information gets mangled between the video memory and display (unless the screenshot is not a direct dump of video memory contents?). Funny coincidence about the names, if I wanted to translate mine into english yours would probably be closest approximation ;) -- [intrepid] Low color resolution on Mobility Radeon X1600 and Desktop Effects https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/269479 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
