Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nvidia-kernel-source

The version of the nvidia xserver in edgy is 1.0-8776, but the version
of the kernel module in the nvidia-kernel-source package is only
1.0-8774. I think this is the breezy version of the source and it just
hasn't been updated for edgy yet. Here's the first line of the
changelog:

nvidia-kernel (1.0.8774-0ubuntu3) breezy; urgency=low

Trying to use the modules from that package in edgy results in the
following errors (output from dmesg):

[ 342.657010] NVRM: API mismatch: the client has the version 1.0-8776, but
[ 342.657015] NVRM: this kernel module has the version 1.0-8774. Please
[ 342.657017] NVRM: make sure that this kernel module and all NVIDIA driver
[ 342.657019] NVRM: components have the same version.

I have to build my own kernels w/ the BadRAM patch applied, and it would
be nice to have the nvidia modules working too.

** Affects: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.19 (Ubuntu)
