Anyway. Please poke vmware inc. I am (and probably most other people) not very
willing to spend time on investigating how this closed source application
actually tries to get the resolution to fit the window size.
I guess you get some kind of support with your license, so I ask you to get the
people who actually get payed for the spent time to find the issue and then
either fix their product or consult the relevant part of the Kubuntu stack to
fix it's misbehaving.
Otherwise I recommend to use VirtualBox where autofit actually works and
where it would be easier to fix.
