the 720p movie i was trying to watch was TMNT. it was in .mkv format. If the problem is not in x11 in smplayer, it either is 1) corrupt file, 2) too high bitrate in the action scenes. I am encoding a lower resolution one.
However, can a developer assigned to this bug please send out an email to all the subscribers of this email what the status is on this bug. When (realistically) should we expect a proper (final) solution to this bug. Can a developer just do that....tell us in an email. I just want to know if I should move back to xp if the solution will take long to come, something to do with DRI2.
