Mine is 32 bit. Sound is working for me intermittently with pulseaudio. 1. While playing a movie with totem every now and then the movie becomes very slow with no sound for 2-3 seconds. Then it comes to normal speed. 2. While playing songs with rhythmbox some frames are dropped and I can clear know that song got cut.
And the problem of pulseaudio dying is also present after which I have to kill totem or rhythmbox and kill pulseaudio with -k. Sound card chipset is VIA 8237.
