Public bug reported:
Upgraded today to the beta 8.1 release all went well, apart fron nvidia drivers
issue. Hardware drivers warning invites install Nvidia drivers 177
[recommended] or 173 or 96, have Geforce 7800GT card in ASUS A8N-SL1 SE M/B CPU
AMD 64.
Have tried all three and during boot the following messages appear, I opt for
default generic graphics config and reboot then all OK.
Message:
(EE) module ABI major version [0] doesn't match the server version 1
[EE] failed to load module "glx" [module requirement mismatch 0]
[EE] failed to load /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/nvidia_drv.so
[EE] failed to load module nvidia [loader failed 7]
[EE] no drivers loaded.
