Public bug reported:

I downloaded the standard release (8.04 LTS Desktop Edition) and
followed the installation instructions installing into the partitions
created for Ubuntu. The basic configuration is dual-boot, Windows XP
Professional and Ubuntu.

After anywhere from a few seconds to a couple of minutes (never more
that about three minutes), Ubuntu stops responding. No disk activity
(according to the disk activity light), no keyboard entries are
recognized - nothing. Completely "freezes". Hard power down is the only
alternative.

The system is quite basic, 768Mb memory (up from 256Mb in hopes of
fixing this problem), internal wireless (works with Ubuntu!), no
external keyboard, no external mouse, no USB attached, no external
display, new battery, good power supply. 120Gb HDD with 40Gb given to
the Windows partition and 80Gb for Ubuntu.

I sure would like to have Ubuntu as my primary travel platform!
