No it didn't. I get an error saying that the apt db is corrup. So I did a fresh install of a 7.04 again. If I do a update (not upgrade) I get the same error again as the one I specified. Seems that the HP pavilion isn't very Linux/Ubuntu friendly. I have a thread that goes into more details in the Ubuntu web forum here:
