The lack of /dev/input/event* is a kernel issue I think, so re-assigning
back again. And your dmesg from the installed system is flooded with
these messages:
[ 215.035514] usb 1-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 64
[ 215.366769] usb 1-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 65

** Description changed:
I downloaded the AMD64 beta of 8.10 today, ran the live disk, and
everything worked fine. After installing it, though, my mouse and
keyboard don't work properly. Everything works fine in GRUB, but when I
get to the login screen, they don't work. I can't move the cursor, and
me typing doesn't show up. However, if I press control + alt + f4, it
brings me to the tty interface, where I can login and use text based
commands. I'm using a Logitech S510 Wireless keybaord and mouse. Forgive
my ignorance, I don't know what files you would want to see, or if I'm
just doing something horribly wrong.

+ Debugging shows that there are no /dev/input/event* nodes, so HAL
+ doesn't expose any input devices to the X server.
