Public bug reported:

Hello,
I test Intrepid beta at the moment and I selected "german" at the boot menu,
but in fact the applications are not german: firefox is english, pidgin is
english, in gnome at the top left there is "Applications | Places | System" and
not "Anwendungen....". But not everything is english: The applications names
are translated (e.g. " Installieren" instead of "Install" or so), but on the
other hand it is called "Help and Support" which is not translated and under
that "Info zu Gnome" (translated). It seems half english, half german. One last
example: I click on System (english) -> Einstellungen (german) ->
Bildschirmschoner (german). Then a windows opens with the title "screensaver
preferences"(english).
A "[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ $LANG " gives "bash: de_DE.UTF-8: command not found" ,
so the language variable seems set correctly. But why do I have to "shut
down..." and not "Herunterfahren" in Gnome?

I also tested with the Italy language and there is the most english,
too. Of course it is not enough place for every single language for
every single application on the live cd, but gnome should be translated
so that you can shut down your computer even though you cannot speak
english. And a firefox or a pidgin localized would be nice, too. :)

Should be fixed with the release. Thanks :)
