Yes, I can confirm this bug on a Compaq Presario r4000 series laptop:
when pressing either the volume up or volume down button, they become
"stuck" and continue raising or lowering the volume continuously. What
is more, the other keys (even the alphanumeric ones) of the keyboard no
longer work until I log out and log back in, and as the first reporter
said the menus no longer display.
This was working under Heron and is broken under Ibex beta.
