Thank you for the very detailed installer instructions.
I was able to follow them precisely, and to confirm that this step is no longer
possible:
( RAID1 device #0 - 122.4 GB Software RAID device ) -->
[ Create new empty partition table on this device? ] ( yes ) -->
When you select the RAID device in the installer, you are asked how you
want to use it, and you are not allowed to create a new empty partition
table on the device.
