Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: vim-tiny
up arrow would produce A
down arrow - B
left/right - D/C
pressing d would delete lines
yet everything else worked ok... performed 'apt-get install vim' and
this nightmare went away :)
affects both i386 and x86_64 installs
