Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: dpkg

On 8.10

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

gives me

Richte python-sip4 ein (4.7.7-1) ...
dpkg: ../../src/packages.c:221: process_queue: Assertion `dependtry <= 4'
failed.
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg exited unexpectedly

after that, it crashes, asking for dpkg --configure -a, which outputs

Verarbeite Trigger für libc6 ...
