Testing the 8.10 beta Desktop i386 live CD on a ThinkPad T61 laptop.
After booting up, there's no wired network detected. But wireless
networks are detected, which is odd - it's usually the other way around.
Wired network works fine with older Ubuntu versions with no restricted
drivers required. I am typing this on 7.10 (installed on the hard drive)
and wired network works fine. It also worked while I was installing
7.10, it was online while installing the system, hooked up to an
Ethernet switch.
I have not tried to install 8.10 beta on the hard drive. I would like to
wait for 8.10 stable release. But I can test the live CD if need be.
